Ed Dresnin It is with great pleasure that we honor one of our most loyal members of Teamsters Local 500 Ed Dresnin. After serving in the US Military, he started his career driving a truck with Teamsters Local 107. In the beginning of his career, he left the trucks for a short time and worked for thirteen (13) years on the Railroad, but his true passion was driving the trucks.
During his membership in Local 500, Ed worked at several different companies until his retirement in 1994. In the early days when employer’s needed drivers for the day, they would call the Union for workers. Ed was always available for work and was a dependable driver. They knew the work would be done and the truck would come back empty.
When Ed retired, he became a member and got involved in the Local 500 Retirees Chapter. He was at every event that the Chapter hosted and was always there to help. In the mid 1990’s, the need arose at the Union Hall for maintenance person, the position was given to Ed because he was always at the hall helping in some way shape or form. He holds that position until this day.
When it comes to being a proud American, Ed is the epitome of being American and bleeds red, white, and blue USA and Union strong!
